Planning Your Pickup in Budapest

Collecting an order in person is often the quickest way to get what you need, but a little planning makes the trip smoother. Budapest is a city of two halves divided by the Danube, and crossing between Buda and Pest at busy times can take longer than the distance on a map suggests. Before you set off, check which side of the river your chosen pickup point is on and allow extra time if you need to cross one of the bridges during the morning or late-afternoon rush.

Getting there

Public transport is usually the most reliable option. The metro, trams and buses run by BKK cover most districts, and trams along the Grand Boulevard and the Danube embankment are especially useful for reaching central areas. If you plan to drive, bear in mind that many inner districts use paid street parking zones, and spaces near busy shopping streets can be hard to find. For larger items, it is worth arranging a car or taxi in advance rather than relying on public transport.

What to bring

• Your order confirmation, either printed or on your phone.
• A form of identification if the order is being collected under your name.
• A bag or carrier suitable for the size of your items.

If someone else is collecting on your behalf, let us know beforehand so the handover goes without delay.

Before you leave home
